Redgate Coding Club 2020

Security Matters Cybercamp 2020

This event is appropriate for grades 7 and above. There is a registration fee. From the IU Center for Applied Cybersecurity website: When: June 8-12, 2020 Time: 9:30am-2:30pm. Where: This year’s camp will be held online via Zoom.

Computer Project Meeting & Office Hours

This Thursday, June 25th, at 6 pm, I will hold a brief meeting with office hours until 8 pm. This meeting is OPTIONAL. However, I will be giving guidance on how we will proceed with project submissions and judging for this year’s fair.

FairEntry Deadline

The last day to submit your completed project to FairEntry is July 10, 2020. If you miss the deadline, we CANNOT accept or judge your entry. Even if we could, it would not be eligible for State Fair.

Computer Project Judging

Judging of the Computer Project will occur VIRTUALLY on July 13. More information will be shared soon about how to submit your project deliverables and if there will be a way to present to the judges.

Machine Learning for Kids Workshop

Ever wonder how Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant work? This is the event for you! Join us as we step through a real-world demonstration of how to build a smart assistant that will control some “virtual appliances” for us.

Intro to Scratch Workshop

Introduction to Scratch - Open to all Computer Project Levels (Grades 3 - 12). If you are new to Scratch, this session is for you! We will cover the basics of navigating Scratch and produce a simple and usable program/game by the end of the session.

Computer Project General Meeting

General Meeting - Open to ALL Computer Project participants. We will discuss how to prepare your projects for delivery, judging protocol, and how we will (hopefully!) display our exhibits at the live fair!
